New Release Snap Judgements 2/18/2008

FIFA Street 3

This week in new releases may not feature that one big title but a little bit of something for everyone.

FIFA Street 3 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC, DS) – Pick of the Week

Probably considered by many to be the other Street title from EA Sports but, based on previous titles and the demo available on XBL and PSN, this game is a lot of fun, especially with another person. If you liked previously installments then you’ll like this game a lot. If you’re interested in a laid back, fun sports title that can still be exciting to play then this could be the new game for you.

The Club (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)

The Club is a shooter which incorporates an arcade style racing timer aspect which requires players to make it from checkpoint to checkpoint while chaining kills. The gameplay, even during the demo, got repetitive and it wasn’t satisfying to kill anyone. With regards to multiplayer, the game probably will also suffer from the same problem as Kane & Lynch did. It’d be fun with other people but no one else will be playing it.

Dynasty Warriors 6 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)

I really can’t convey the surprise I feel when I hear another Dynasty Warriors game is coming out. Who buys this hack and slash nonsense? Please save your money.

Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (Wii)

After playing Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, I have become a mild fan of this series. The problem here is that, much like Zak and Wiki and No More Heroes, it’s a real game on a baby console so it won’t sell but it may actually be pretty good.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (DS)

I have never played any of the games in this series but I have always been intrigued. This game starts over with a new lead attorney, Apollo Justice, taking over for Phoenix Wright. If you’re interested in a game to play on your commute this is a winner.

Just like with turok you all will hate yourselves for not getting the club! Mindless killing without the forced suicide or long prison term!
