LittleBigPlanet orbiting its way to PSN in October.

Yet some more news from the PlayStation day event over in London. Kaz Hirai has announced that LittleBigPlanet will be hitting the PlayStation Network Store in October.

For those of you who don’t know what LittleBigPlanet is, the game is a co-op platformer which contains characters commonly known as “Sackboy” or “Sackgirl”, obviously depending on the gender of your character. When playing as “Sackboy” or “Sackgirl” you can move, jump and grab objects, with the ability to build and manipulate the environment around you, similar to the features of Gary’s Mod.

Kaz Hirai also confirmed that PlayStation “Home” project which is often compared to the popular online game “Second Life” will be available later on this year. He said “Our confidence in Home has not wavered… As great as it currently is, it needs a little more time”

However for the people who are eager to get their hands on home, he stated that to check regularly on the home beta signup website.
