Bioshock heading to the big screen.

2K Games announced today that Universal Pictures will be producing a feature film based on Bioshock.

Bioshock hasn’t just grabbed the attention of big film studios either; it’s also got the attention from a big director, Gore Verbinski director of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, who is rumored to be directing the Bioshock film.

No release dates or further details have been posted yet. However if it doesn’t follow the poor suit of many game to movie titles, hopefully it should be a success following that Bioshock has sold 2 million copies so far. Also with Bioshock 2 set to be on the way in 2009 it’s a franchise you should all be hearing about even more.
