Welcome to a new generation where anything important is put on Youtube and now Playstation 3’s. Sony and Youtube have gotten together to put the Youtube service on the Playstation Network now. The question is can I watch botchamania on Playstation 3 right now. That is of course if I had one.

When Sony first presented PlayStation Home, one of the major bullet points was to create and foster an online community for PlayStation 3 owners. Of course, since these online networks already exist on the Web, there can’t be any harm in borrowing a bit from them as well.

Joystiq reports that Sony Computer Entertainment is utilizing tools that will allow developers to permit YouTube video uploads into their game interfaces. In supported titles this will allow players to upload game footage to YouTube directly from inside the game.

The first title planned to include YouTube abilities is Mainichi Issho, a Japanese game sold over the PlayStation Network. No other games taking advantage of the feature have been announced, but the tools are fairly simple and could even be retroactively patched for older games. We’ll keep a look out for more titles that support the video sharing feature. When Sony first presented PlayStation Home, one of the major bullet points was to create and foster an online community for PlayStation 3 owners. This looks like a good idea, but how long until it is viewed as something that could of been great. I say put Youtube on Home and you now have something going for you Sony.
