Guitar Hero World Tour delivers more ways to play than ever before.   • I think what is going to make or break this game is four things that need to be done in order to possibly overtake the top spot from Rockband.

    1. DLC! I know Activision has stated they would like to exploit each IP on a yearly basis to maximize profit. However, they really need to cut the cost and release it weekly to take on Harmonix in that arena.

    2. Diversify the set list. I love a variety of music and many other do as well. So I really don’t want a set list filled with mostly metal does not appeal to me. Another to do this is because I’m sure they want this to be “the party game”.

    3. Tone down the difficulty across the board. Don’t make songs just to be hard. Since this is going to be a full band. Then I am sure there will be four players of varied skill levels. Making it super hard will be a impediment to making this a party game equal to or greater than Rockband.

    4. Make the create a song feature easy to use but allow it to be in depth in features. What I mean is if you want to screw around in it and make something then go for it. However, allow it to have enough to features to make some great user created content.

    Of course these are just my opinions. However, I believe that many people may feel this way. I am actually going to write a few opinion pieces in the front page forum on music games. I am very opinionated about this genre since I’ve been in it since 2000 with Dance Dance Revolution.
