Platform Nation is a collaboration of several gaming podcasts who decided it would be best for our gamers, the podcasters and the rest of the gaming community if they came together to share efforts. Together we have a larger voice in the community for the gamers that we strive to speak for. We share the same forums and for the most part, share the same listeners. After all, we are a community, not a network

i have a feeling the author of this review is a lazy gamer at heart, his 'bottom line' is pretty disapointing. While i fully believe that fans of the NG series will enjoy this the most, this game offers a great chance for newcomers to join the herd. ng 2 has been in a very difficult posistion from the moment it was announced because the first installement in next gen consoles completly revolutionized action games and was years ahead of its time particularly in graphics and combat. while it is natural to hope for another revolution, it is unfair to criticize it for failing to change the world again. if you liked the first game, ng 2 is ng1 on the best kind of crack. while the graphics arent a huge jump, they are still gorgeous and are still better than the first one, which was possibly the best at its time.it is not a bad thing at all that it is more of the same with this new installment. the combat is improved and the new animations and obliterations make this game highly a highly addictive and visceral experience.it is easier and more accesible so the newcomers can hop right in. but newcomers be warned, if you are someone who likes to run through an action game without dying (ahem dmc4 fanboys) you may try the demo of this first, because you will die and you will have to adjust stategies and work master the controls.
there are issues with this game that should have been worked out prior to release, namely the framerate issues tha occur and the famous camera. but even the camera issues are minimal as they you quickly learn to move frequently which usually solves the camera issue and you learn that reseting the angle (just pull the right trigger)is crucial even when the camera is not an issue.
all in all this is a great game for old and new fans, if you like 3rd person action games then you will most likely really enjoy this title.
