New Release Snap Judgements 7/21/2008

The week after E3 seems like it is as bare of new games as it is plentiful with news from the gaming industry. The only one releases of note are both for the Nintendo DS and are chock full of nostalgia.

New International Track and Field (Nintendo DS) Pick of the Week

The new incarnation of the arcade classic is a very good mini game collection based on the games of the Olympics. While I really enjoyed the game, as I wrote in my review, it does not pack the control and fun factor of a Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games but is very good and very fun in its own right.

Final Fantasy IV (Nintendo DS)

I have never been a fan of the Final Fantasy series but would certainly love to have some stock in the company as they continually pump out new versions of old entries in the series all the time. If you are a fan of the series then you may want to pick this one up, although I hear this is not one of the better in the series. If not, this is a big pass.

What are you picking up this week?
