Does the Madden cover curse apply to trading Hall-of-Fame caliber players?
EA sports announced that they would not be changing the cover of the Madden NFL 09 cover featuring former Green Bay Packers quarterback, Brett Favre, in the familiar green and gold, to the green and white of the New York Jets.
EA sports did indicate that they would have a free downloadable cover available with Favre in a Jets uniform, so that fans and purists can print out the alternate cover and place it in the game case.
A roster update will be made available on August 11, the day before the game is released, with Favre on the New York Jets roster. The roster update will only be mandatory if you play online.
