It’s the second Tuesday in August and that means two things: it’s getting unbearably humid here on the east coast and one of the year’s juggernaut titles is being unleashed on the masses.

It is time for John Madden to (boom!) invade our living rooms and take over a few weeks and months with football goodness. This year’s big, back-of-the-box feature is the Madden Test which allows the game to gauge your skill and properly challenge each individual player. The feature works pretty well and does serve a serious challenge right from the first game. You probably already know if you’re getting this but if you’re on the fence, I think you should dive in like a duck into a chicken into a turkey.
