Microsofts sales of the Xbox 360 have surged with a reported 100% sales boost since the price cuts took effect September 5, which saw the price of the consoles drop $50 to $80.
Xbox 360 Arcade (No Hard Drive): $199, down from $279 Xbox 360 Pro (60GB HDD): $299, down from $350 Xbox 360 Elite (120GB HDD): $399, down from $449
This is even after a published report that stated the RROD plaque was as high as 68%.
While some analysts believe the Xbox 360 will manage to retain its second place finish behind the Wii, will this now change things for the 360 or will the PS3 catch up seeing that they are coming on strong this year. Only time and price cuts will tell…….
