Left 4 Dead published by Google?

Well unless you have been hiding all day you probably have heard the rumors circulating the internet that internet mogul, Google, might be planning on buying out Valve, makers of games such as Left 4 Dead, Half-Life, Team Fortress, and many many other great games. But if bought, Google wouldn’t be picking up Valve for their great game making ability, it would most likely be due to Steam, Valve’s hugely successful digital distribution platform.
Anyways, we here at Platform Nation are curious what you guys think about this? Do you think it could be something great for us gamers? Or is this just Google trying to buy a piece of everything like what Microsoft did in the ’90’s?

I think its google getting into everything they can. I think they want to own anthing good so they have the chance to be as big as m$. With that said I do think they want to have a good distribution system. I guess time will tell what they really want.
I see google trying to get into gaming some day. If they use valve then there should be no problem, because they make great games.

If the rumours are true, denied or not (possbily there are just talks happening, if anything) I think Google want to be a part of this multi-billion dollar industry. And with digital distribution getting stronger as the years go on, who better to have on your books than Valve and Steam. Great games, great service.
