No Farming For You



Warhammer was released on September 18 and is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on Games Workshop Warhammer fantasy setting and developed by Mythic Entertainment.  Mark Jacobs of Mythic Entertainment really does not like gold farming.  Gold farming will allow you to skip hours of repetitive boredom necessary to collect Warhammer gold you need to power up your character to the next level.

So heres a heads up Mark Jacobs hates gold sellers so much he made a statement on his blog “I hate gold sellers with every fiber of my being” and goes onto say “I hate gold spammers even more now than before”.  O.K. we get the point you don’t like gold farming so people just stop it!!  Many people have not heard the warning and still continued their gold farming, so Mark has gone and formed a “Strike Team” and the teams job is to track down the players and ban them.  The team seems to be on the top of their game,  because to date they have banned about 400 accounts to date.

I for one don’t play Warhammer, but if you do heed the warning or the Strike Team will find you….

    I use to be an avid MMORPG player and I'm sick of all these devs going batnuts over gold farming. If you didn't want players farming for gold, use your freaking brain and make the better equipment and items attainable through quests.

    Until MMO makers learn that gamers don't want to waste time earning gold, they just want the meat and potatoes of the game, you're going to get gold farmers.

    Ban all the people you want because those you ban will just go to FREE servers outside of their jurisdiction and play. If half of the WoW guys knew you could actually play WoW for free on dedciated servers outside of Blizzard's control, the world would crumble.

    Keep banning people and you're only making yourself look stupid.

    I like the fact he has formed a strike team, it makes me think about Vic Mackey and the crew from the Shield, and forming this team I dont think will stop any of this it will just make the hardcore MMORPG players find new ways to beat the system.
