We've been hearing that LBP would not have online play when it was released, maybe they had that planned all along.

Either way, I think the e-mail was a publicity stunt. They're just trying to create more hype over this game. I think it will release on the 21st.

beta ends on the 17th, so I really really doubt they're prepared to ship *that* ahead of time… I'm sure it's possible… but considering they've done a hell of a lot of P.R with the current release date, I call typo.

Regardless of what online aspect it WON'T have at release, it's not an excuse. Everything should be up and running at the beginning especially after Sony has been making so much noise about player customization.
