At this year’s E for All I had a chance to meet with John Bates, the Business Developer in America for Entropia Universe from MindArk. Entropia Universe is an MMO which uses a real economy in their expanding virtual world. Entropia Universe is a free to download MMO and users do not pay any fixed fees or subscriptions to continue playing. However players must use the Entropia Universe’s currency, PED, to pay for item repair, acquisition, or renewal of objects. It’s an interesting twist to other MMOs. In the interview John talks about EU, how users potentially can make money playing the game, and how Motörhead frontman Lemmy is rocking the Entropia Universe:
