Sony Says “No Home for You, Qore One-Timer”

Today I received an email from Sony Playstation Underground which read as follows:

As an update to the PLAYSTATION(R)3 News email sent on Friday,
October 24th, the special invitation to PlayStation(R)Home’s closed
beta is available only to Qore annual subscribers who purchased
subscriptions by 10/29. Qore Episode 06 purchasers will not be
eligible for the special PlayStation(R)Home beta invitation at
this time. We apologize for the miscommunication.

Participation in PlayStation(R)Home’s closed beta is limited to
those 18 years and older and requires agreement with the
PlayStation(R)Home Beta Trial.

Looks like now you can save the $3 and use it someplace else. I was going to drop three Washingtons on this, but now I will not. Something that has been delayed for so long and interests is dying down for, I thought giving gamers the chance for a $3 beta would have made Home a more discussed item for blogs, podcasts, articles, and the like. This move by Sony will undoubtedly bring about more negative comments about their ways with the Playstation Network. This could not have come at a more difficult time with the lacking of a stable server for SOCOM and the delay of the server for Little Big Planet.

Push thoughts of Home aside for now, unless you have a yearly subscription to Qore, and just play some great games in this season of blockbusters. Its back to Little Big Planet and Resistance 2, when I get my copy.
