Play With The New Xbox Experience Now

Apparently someone leaked the install files for the NXE on the internet and it is now available for all to try out. Now just to let you all know, YOU CAN NOT CONNECT ONLINE WITH IT TILL NOVEMBER 19th, it will not allow you, so if you plan to game, do not use this. Also there is no guarantee that Microsoft will not ban your console or get angry at you, so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Now to install this, it is really simple, all you have to do is download the update files, you can get them here at digiex.net. After you have the file, you just put it on the root of a USB drive, slap that bad boy into your Xbox 360 and turn it on. From there you will be asked if you want to update and now your off and running.
Again, use at your own risk.

The Xbox 360 Fall Flash update will be available to you by 8pm PST on October 30th (11pm EST on October 30th, 3am GMT on October 31st).

I really want to, but I don't want to get banned I will have to wait and see what I will do I am not going to rush into this, especially seeing I have to wait all the time for games and content to be released.
I dont think they would ban you because what if you didnt read what they said about the update and they did plug there hd into another console on accident and forgot about it. i dont think microsoft is that cruel and they knew that it could get on other consoles. SO I BELEIVE THEY WONT BAN YOU. Im not gonna do it because i would rather have xlive for 19 days.

I installed this on my Elite and it is working perfect, no Xbox Live but yes NXE and wow, it sure is fast
well just use it on a console that doenst have a live subscription
As much as I want to try NXE (which is complete BS, but thats another story), I think I am going to wait, since I am truly addicted to Xbox Live

no, this is an update, there is no going back.
And as stated above there is the real risk of being banned.

how would they even ban you anyway? YOU CAN'T GET ON LIVE, so they would not be able to know if you had it or not, so no worries for that.

No thanks. I'll just stick with my old, boring, slow, and ugly dashboard that I already have and CAN connect to Xbox Live with for the next 19 days.
I don't think you'll get banned. Microsoft would have a tough time explaining why they banned someone that had their system "accidentally" updated by a friend's hard drive. Besides, in the quote above it doesn't threaten anything except to say you can't get on Live until Nov. 19th.

It might be a better idea to not spread the word about this, but I am not brave enough to try this anyways, I'll wait the 18 days…

You cant edit the file, beacuse each file is digitaly signed by m$.
If you edit something = signature is broken, xbox will not see this file.
What is Xbox Live?????
So, what happens if you drop the update a newly formatted thumb drive, with the $SystemUpdate on the root, the console performs the update, reboots and displays "Can not update your console, please microsoft yada yada yada." Did i just brick the console?
I'm tempted to do this this but I have patience to wait till it's officially out, plus I really don't want the chance to get banned if Microsoft really decides to do so.
They cant ban you without xbox live connection. Its done over the network =S

just installed nxe and tried the new resolution setting on my 1680×1050 monitor… for those wondering about how the NXE handles 1680×1050, the system letterboxes the screen

I did the NXE, it is ok. Waste of time as you can't make avatars yet since it needs more files from Live. It can connect to the internet however Live is blocked.
With something like this leaked, I don't think Microsoft would risk loosing a HUGE portion of thier fan base over something that you can just claim as accidental. If they do ban you, simply say "It was accident, my friend came over with his MU to play Halo and it updated. No one denies updates, so when I updated it had the new dashboard, sorry." The worse they can say is no. However, assuming this has caught word as fast as it did ALOT of people have it, and M$ would feel a HUGE profit drop.
doesnt seem to want to work for me, dont know if its my box not wantin to read my pen drive or what, meh looks like ill just have to wait til 19th!
