I've got no beef with this, really. I guess they could've waited a little longer, but my main fear was that they were never going to offer it all(like they originally said), and that particular playlist would've become pretty empty after 6 months or so.

I love playing the old maps, so I'm glad more people will be getting them. Say what you want about the matchmaking problems, but no one makes multiplayer maps like the Gears of War team. I actually hope they put out another flashback pack, as I'd love to see Fuel Depot and a couple of other classics added as well.

oops... that wasn't supposed to happen.
I would have to say this is CRAP!!! I can see them releasing them in a year or so but not when the game is still in its infancy. If you are going to market that it is only for new copies of the game, and then a few months later you give used game buyers a way to get these maps you destroy this new incentive to buy the game new and not used. If hurting the used game market was their plan they just struck out.

We all expected they would eventually release it, and I think they waited long enough to get the maximum effect of what they were going for. Now they just want to get as many people playing the game as possible with all this bad press floating around.
