Hands On With F.EA.R. 2

F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin developed by Monolith Productions is the sequel to F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon and is a first person shooter horror title and is set to release February 10, 2009 for Windows,  Xbox 360 and the Playstation3 and is rated M.  The hands on was played on the Xbox 360.

In the game you play as Michael Beckett a member of a special forces team and you set out to battle armies of clone soldiers and the unstoppable physic entity Alma.  The demo placed you right in the action battling enemies in the streets.   The gameplay was smooth and easy to control your character through the streets.  One new thing that I did like was the ability to open car doors so you could use them for cover.  The enemies behaved realistically and used the environment against you as well as you using against them.  The weapons selection has increased and now you can even pilot a power armor suit.

The demo was  great and was a pleasure to play ( you even got to sit in the cool chair shown above to play the game).  I enjoyed the storyline in the first installement and can’t wait to see how this story will play out.  I will defiently be adding this one to my library.

Nice! I can’t wait to get my hands on F.E.A.R 2, I really enjoyed the demo!

  • I’m torn between picking this one up -or- Bikini Samurai Squad, but something tells me F.E.A.R. 2 will probably be better– but then again, fighting in a bikini does have it’s appeal.

  • Taking nothing away from Bikini Samurai Squad – I am certain that FEAR2 will be much better. Can’t wait to get my hands on the game!
