Legends of Wrestlemania Roster Revealed

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I loved professional wrestling as a kid. Wrestling was not about who was the biggest but about who had the best gimmick and made fans love them or hate them the most. THQ’s upcoming Legends of Wrestlemania takes gamers back to what is probably considered the best time for the “sport.” A time when Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant were clashing in WWF while The Nature Boy was on the road to becoming the sixteen time Heavyweight Champion of the World in the NWA and, later, WCW.

The games’ full roster has finally been released with exactly a month one month left until release and just in time for Wrestlemania XXV. It is quite impressive and comprehensive except for one huge, glaring omission. “The Macho Man” Randy Savage. How can one half of the Mega Powers, the one time king of the WWF and perhaps one of the three most famous wrestlers of all-time not be included in this game?!

Here is the list in its entirety:

Andre The Giant
Animal
Arn Anderson
Bam Bam Bigelow
Big Bossman
Big John Studd
Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
Bret Hitman Hart
British Bulldog
Brutus Beefcake
Dusty Rhodes
Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Hawk
Honky Tonk Man
Hulk Hogan
Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Iron Sheik
Jake The Snake
Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart

Did THQ miss anyone, other than The Macho Man, that should have been a legend?

  • Ricky Steamboat is a fairly large omission. But I will deliberately be avoiding game due to the lack of Randy Savage. Vince McMahon needs to let this pathetic grudge go.
