The gaming library of the Sony PSP looks like it’s about to get a lot more robust. At the Sony Computer Entertainment America’s annual event in Arizona, Destination Playstation, several big name games were revealed to be coming this year for the handheld.
Among those coming to the PSP are LittleBigPlanet (with PSP specific created levels), Assassin’s Creed, and Rock Band Unplugged.
Unplugged will feature an in-game content store using the console’s WiFi capabilities to download additional tracks. This will mark the first portable version of the Rock Band series from Harmonix.
Adding to the casual market, Ubisoft will be releasing their successful line of Petz games for the PSP.
In the mix as well will be the next installment of the Madden series from Electronic Arts with Madden NFL 10 that will have a new feature added to it allowing you to upload created plays to the Playstation 3 version available later this year.
Building on all of that, there will be two more PSP bundles available in 2009. One featuring a Lilac-colored PSP bundled with a Hannah Montana game, and a black PSP with Assassin’s Creed. Both will retail for $199 each.
