Grab your survival gear and prepare more for post-apocalyptic wastelands. Terminator Salvation is on its way!
New details on GRIN Studio’s third person shooter Terminator Salvation have surfaced, and the game appears to offer players more than just a rote recap of the film of the same name. While based on the upcoming Terminator Salvation movie (starring Batman Christian Bale), the game will actually take place two years before the film. Players will take control of survivor/soldier John Connor as he navigates post-apocalyptic LA battling enemies that will stop at nothing to get their metal hands on Connor; even to the point of dragging their broken bodies after him.
In addition to robotic enemies with zombie-like determination, the game will include cover mechanics with destructible cover, and a slew of human and Skynet weapons and vehicles with which to deal destruction. The game is slated for May of this year to coincide with the film’s release, and will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC.
No word yet on whether the game will include a “scream at the film crew ’til your red in the face” mode.
