Trophy Support Is Live On

PS3 Trophies

As you see in the picture above, the ability to look at your trophies on is now live. Now we talked a little about the feature yesterday, but it is very cool to see it all active and working today.

Trophy Tracking will be coming to tomorrow. You will be able to find out how many trophies you have and get detailed description of each trophy. You will have to set up your PSN account on for it to work. There is a video over on the official Playstation Blog that shows how it will work. This is supposedly only stage one of their online trophy support, and they said you would eventually be able to view your trophies in “new and interesting ways.” Hopefully this means they will open up the service in the same way Microsoft did.

I’m really liking it so far, it allows a lot quicker and easier way to view all your trophies then the previous method only on the XMB.

  • Awesome stuff. I think it would be great if they could follow this up with some type of gamer card HTML, that you could copy and paste in to forums, social networking sites, etc..

    • Can’t you use the “Portable ID” as a kind of gamercard?

I haven’t tried it myself, but I see a lot of gamers using portable IDs generated from the Playstation site

  • I just checked… there’s portable ID html code on

  • How did this come up in Google News for today? That’s crazy.

Still, the trophies page has been there for two years and I’ve only just found it 🙂
