Microsoft has confirmed to ComputerandVideoGames.com that the upcoming Left 4 Dead DLC will be available for the Xbox 360 on April 21. This content package will include the new Survival mode which pits the survivors against wave after wave of zombies (think Gears of War 2 Horde mode with more flesh rot). Along with the new mode, Dead Air and Death Toll will be added to the Versus mode making the mode available for all the games scenarios. Best of all, these add-ons will be free for download when released in April.

With Left 4 Dead DLC added to the list, the next few weeks will be big ones for game add-ons. The Snowblind map pack for Gears of War 2 and the new Fallout 3 episode “The Pitt” will both be available later this month, and the Halo 3 Mythic map pack will be coming April 9th. Just make sure you’re stocked up on Microsoft points because Left 4 Dead will likely be the only add-on you’ll be able to grab free of charge. You should also keep in mind that as of last week, the Xbox LIVE Days of Arcade is in full swing; so don’t spend all your points in one game.
