The Jam – In the City
1977 was a great time for music. It is when the punk movement got its start and led to some incredible music. One of those incredible albums that came out that year was the Jam’s debut album In the City. Combining the raw energy of punk music and the song structure of the mod scene they created a debut album that would be a massive success.
Led by singer/ songwriter Paul Weller The Jam would go on to become one of the top acts in England throughout the early 80’s and when they split up he found mild success with his band The Style Council and some major success with his solo career, but he would never recreate that magic that he had with the Jam.
