Konami Brings Silent Hill to Wii with Remake of the Original

By Jason Wadsworth

Konami’s recently announced title for the Wii, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, will be a re-imagined version of the original Silent Hill game for Playstation. While Shattered Memories will share the same original story of Harry Mason’s search for his missing daughter in the frightening town of Silent Hill, this updated version will include many new clues, paths, and character interaction for Harry to follow.

This new Wii title will, of course, make use of the Wii remote; in this case the remote will be used as a flashlight and cell phone used to investigate the shadowed corners of Silent Hill. Another new addition to the game will be a psyche profile which will change certain details of the game, including some of Harry’s interactions, depending on players actions in the game and reactions to the environment.

There will also be PS2 and PSP versions of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and all versions are set for release in Autumn of this year.
