Multiplayer Confirmed for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

As evident in the image above, Kotaku.com is reporting that inFamous will be shipping with a downloadable demo for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. This demo isn’t just any demo though, it is a multiplayer demo for a game that hasn’t even announced multiplayer, so now you can see why this is such a huge announcement. Now there has been zero news about what will be included in this demo as far as what you are doing, who you are doing it with or anything else. All this will probably be announced this coming Monday when Sony is scheduled to release,
according to PlayStation.com. I guess we will have to wait until Monday to see if this is really what the announcement is suppose to be about.
So what do you guys think about this announcement? Are you excited to see multiplayer in Uncharted 2?
And as far as inFamous goes, I guess this will only help it continue to be compared to Crackdown as Crackdown came with the Halo 3 demo. I’m excited for Uncharted 2, but not for multiplayer. Unless it’s a FPS, multiplayer shooters will fail.
I can’t wait to see what the multiplayer for Uncharted 2 will entail.
Not every game needs multiplayer. Developing for it will either 1) make the game take longer to come out or 2) take away development time from the single player part that I actually care about.
Why sacrifice the campaign to put in MP? This game doesn’t need MP. It’s like putting MP in Tomb Raider. Would you want that?
