Despite it being one of the slower weeks in a while, I am kind of excited that we are getting one of my favorite flash games ported to a console that I can take anywhere. As if the addiction wasn’t bad enough, now I can protect my desk anywhere.
Desktop Tower Defense (DS) is a wildly popular, flash-based towere defense game (the latest version can be found here) that is making its way on to the Nintendo DS. The simple concept, addictive challenges and endless replayability has kept me addicted for months. The game, while not looking as great as its online counterpart, will be adding a few features, such as the ability to load preferred tower placements, that will look to ease the burden of not having a mouse. If the game is nearly half as fun as the online version, this will be one to pick up.
Other notable releases this week:
Battlestations: Pacific (Xbox 360, PC)
Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball (Wii)
Zen Pinball (PSN)
Star Trek (XBLA)
Texas Cheat’em (XBLA)
What will you be picking up this week?
