Along with other announcements and trailers shown at Microsofts E3 press conference, trailers for sequels to two popular 360 titles were screened. Crackdown 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 are both in development and headed to the Xbox 360 in the near future.
Crackdown was a sleeper hit that got a boost in exposure from it’s inclusion of a Halo 3 multiplayer beta. Since then fans have been patiently awaiting a sequel, though at times it seemed like it may never come. They can rest assured now that they will soon get their fill of leaping tall buildings and juggling gangsters with rockets.
Left 4 Dead 2 will be a much larger game than its predecessor. It will have more co-op campaigns, the beloved Versus and Survival modes and several gameplay additions including added melee weapons like frying pans, baseball bats, axes, and of course…chainsaws. Players will also play as a new group of survivors with new weapons and items at their disposal as they battle their way through new hordes and even against boss zombies. Left 4 Dead 2 is currently dated for release on November 17th of this year.
