After yesterday’s Nintendo conference at E3, journalists were able to conduct a more personal interview with Shigeru Miyamoto, the man with a heavy hand in the creation of classics such as the Mario franchise. He had some interesting revelations.
It seems that a new Zelda game (another franchise Miyamoto created) is in the works for the Nintendo Wii. In fact, Miyamoto stated that the game is “quite far into development” and that he is hoping for a 2010 release.
In trying to move the Zelda franchise forward, the creative team started looking at the Wii MotionPlus as a viable option for the newest chapter in the beloved series. Actually, depending on how well Wii Sports Resort does, the Wii MotionPlus may even be a requirement.
Keep an eye out over the next year for more information on Link’s newest adventure.
