Dragon Age: Origins Preview

Dragon Age OriginsWith so many high-profile releases, this Fall is shaping up to be a massive drain on the gaming community’s bank accounts. Although they probably don’t really need repeating, some of the major titles include Modern Warfare 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Splinter Cell: Conviction. Although all of the aforementioned will probably end up in my personal collection in the long run, there’s one more that has really grabbed my interest.

From EA and Bioware comes Dragon Age: Origins, a new Fantasy Role-Playing adventure. Similar to another Bioware title, Baldur’s Gate, players will create a personalized character, explore an all-new fantasy world, and meet various companions who will aid you along the way. Whether you’re a fan of George R.R. Martin’s grueling, blood-soaked battles or J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantastical creatures and environments, Origins will have something for everyone.

Dragon Age: Origins hits the shelves on October 20th, and will be available for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

Every video I see of this game makes me more and more excited. I hope the console versions as good as the PC one because I have to get it for 360.

  • I hear ya. I’m a Mac user, but even if I had a PC, I don’t think I’d play games on it too much. I just like my 360. What gets me goin’ is the fact that, finally, we’re getting a truly adult-oriented fantasy. When it’s head-to-head swords, spears and shields, there’s going to be some massive bloodshed.
