Yes, the hit Infinity Ward sequel to 2007’s COD4 has been put at a price of £54.99 RRP (around $90) just for the standard edition. This is apparently because of ‘poor exchange rates’ and the ‘upward climb of the euro’. An Activision rep also blamed the many other big hit titles in the Winter, and the ‘global financial crisis’. You want my opinion? Activision is milking us for all of our money, and they’re obviously going to get all our milk. It is unclear to say whether or not any other big publishers will make the same move and increase the price of their Winter releases.
