Well the funny thing is that Infinity Ward is owned wholly BY Activision. Activision just wants to milk the game for all it's worth.

Back to a discussion from my last MW2 article, I think this is just the first step in IW attempting to break off. This, of course, would mean buying themselves out of Activision, but with the massive success of CoD: Modern Warfare, that probably wouldn't be out of the question.

This kinda thing annoys me. Because on one side, i would love it to just be the name "Modern Warfare 2". But they are going to get fuck all sales because everyone recognises the Call Of Duty name.
If anything though, this is a smart move, because if you are just a gamer then you would just buy the normal version and be fine with it.
But obviously if you are getting the limited or crazy fucked up awesome version then you must be a fan of the game and must know about it, so they will still be get these bought too.
Either way, i'm just buying the "Hardened one" not the crazy one. I really don't have a use for night vision goggles. Apart from flicking the switch on and on again that makes them turn on and go PINGGG. You know what sound i mean... PIING
