Final Fantasy XIII Bulks Up For The Xbox 360

The pros and cons of having a PlayStation 3 over an Xbox 360–or vice versa–have been debated since, well, since the console rivalry began. And while I acknowledge the differences, I’m not against either system. Still, those differences can have an effect. Take this piece of info, for example.

We all know Sony decided to include a Blu-ray drive in the PlayStation 3 while Microsoft saw HD DVD as the viable option. Since that time, we’ve discovered that, this time around, Sony made the better decision. Now, we see that the Blu-ray drive is going to pay off once more. Producer Yoshinori Kitase recently stated that although both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Final Fantasy XIII “should be pretty much equal, both in terms of content and the visuals as well”, Square is “aiming for about three discs for the Xbox 360 version.”

To all of the Xbox 360 owners out there: expect a somewhat heavier Final Fantasy when it hits stores sometime next year.

im pretty sure that the ps3 version graphics is gonna be more cooler than the xbox360 version.

  • I trust that the graphics will be close. I’m thinking that the PS3 will have a little sharper graphics, but otherwise they’ll be basically the same.
