Shadow Complex Sets XBLA Record

It seems we’ve been hearing about a lot of downloadable games records being broken this summer. Epic’s latest offering, Shadow Complex, is the latest title to get it’s name in the XBLA record book. According to Kotaku, Microsoft has revealed that Shadow Complex has had over 200,000 downloads thus far, making it the most downloaded sigle-player XBLA game in it’s first week of release.  Granted, there are a lot of quantifiers to that statement; but all told, one has to give a tip of the hat to Epic Games and Chair Entertainment for developing such a solid game in the first place. For those who are unfamiliar with the title, Shadow Complex is a 2.5D side-scrolling shooter from Chair Entertainment, a subsidiary of Epic Games.  The title’s impressive graphics are powered by the mighty Unreal Engine 3, which Epic developed.

Shadow Complex released August 19, and is available now on the Xbox Live Arcade.
