Yay. Edie’s back home, at least for a couple weeks.
And after a last-minute dash to PAX, she’s got a lot to talk about.
She, Commander Tim and Cooper Hawkes discuss what she saw at the Penny Arcade Expo and the rest of the general news of the gaming world. These tasty news nuggets include:
- Nineties-rock gargoyle Courtney Love cries foul as Kurt Cobain becomes a playable character in Guitar Hero 5. Former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic agree. Too bad all three personally signed off on the music and images and spent the last three years working with Activision so Cobain would be part of the game. Damn the internet. It never forgets.
- Wolfenstein flounders at retail. But isn’t it nice to know that Blizzard brings in so much money that Activision doesn’t need to sell anything but one game a year?
- Dear Resident Moron, when you pirate a copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PC, don’t complain about bugs in the company forums.
- Random stuff, email.
- Edie takes a listener-written gaming history test. Hilarity and embarassment ensues.
