There is apparently a ton of story that isn't covered in the games that IS covered in the novels, but only the hardcore fans of the story will read the novels. Just my opinion, obviously. Mike Capps came out and clarified that he was speaking about a Gears of War game based on the Unreal 4 engine. The unreal 4 engine is being built for next-gen consoles. He went on to say that it has nothing to do with Epic's plans for Gears on the current-gen consoles. I bet we see a new one next year.
