Torchlight (if you do not know about the game, check out the P*N preview) is only 2 weeks away from release on PC, and that release just got bigger. Initially, Steam users were going to have to wait 30 days before Torchlight became available on the service, but today it was announced that the game will be available on Steam from day one. That’s right, on October 27th PC gamers can get their hands on Torchlight through Steam, Perfect World, or Runic Game’s official Torchlight website.
Max Schaefer, CEO of Runic Games, says about the news: “It’s important for us to make Torchlight as widely available as possible. Steam is an enormous outlet that many players use exclusively – we’re big fans ourselves – so we are really happy that it will be on Steam starting day one.”
Torchlight looks like it will be a great, dungeon crawling, monster killing, loot gathering RPG and I am happy that it will be available on Steam so that as many gamers as possible have a chance to play it. Stay tuned to Platform Nation for a review of Torchlight and an interview with Runic Games very soon!
