Borderlands In Short Supply?

This article was written by: Mike Hudec (dolenraug)

borderlands_ logoTwenty-four hours may not seem very long, but a lot can happen in that amount of time. Example: In only twenty-four hours, Jack Bauer can yell at a few bad guys and save the world.

Or how about this? Twenty-four hours is all the time it took for stores to start experiencing Borderlands shortages. Ah, don’t worry; Gearbox Software, developer of the new “Role-Playing Shooter”, is working hard to remedy the situation.

Steve Gibson, VP of Marketing at Gearbox, had this to say on the issue:

“Yes, Borderlands copies of the Xbox 360 SKU have run out in a few regions, especially the east coast. We are aware of this and are working with production and distribution at ramping up to catch up with demand.

“There will be more copies of Borderlands available on shelves as early as Thursday or Friday at many retailers. The PlayStation 3 SKU issues on the west coast are mostly regional and can be addressed by reallocation. We are confident that will happen quickly.”

Hopefully, those of you who were interested in giving Borderlands a shot (no pun intended) already snagged yourselves a copy.
