Platform Nation is a collaboration of several gaming podcasts who decided it would be best for our gamers, the podcasters and the rest of the gaming community if they came together to share efforts. Together we have a larger voice in the community for the gamers that we strive to speak for. We share the same forums and for the most part, share the same listeners. After all, we are a community, not a network

@Steve. Understandable, given the $$$ the Microsoft paid to Rockstar to keep the Episodes of Liberty City exclusive to XBL. I don't have a problem with Netflix being available to everyone. I just didn't know the circumstances of the exclusivity that Microsoft had with Netflix. I scoured the internet to find answers, but couldn't, so I posed the question. Thanks for the clarification.

@patrick netflix said from the start that they don't plan on stopping with the 360, that they wanted to bring it to every console and every device. MS probably paid them a good chunk of change to bring it to them first, nothing more.

I'd like to know how Netflix was able to simple tear up the contract with Microsoft for Netflix exclusivity. Unless Microsoft asked Netflix to pay an 'early termination fee'. If not, then what is stopping other companies from simply throwing out agreements and doing whatever they want whenever they want? Sounds like Sony through a ton of money at Netflix, in my opinion. I'm trying hard not to sound like a 360 fanboy, but this isn't about whether I like one console over another; it's about how Netflix 'got around' the exclusivity agreement that they signed with Microsoft. Any answers?

Even though I don't have a Netflix account many, many other Canadians do, so it would be nice to have that feature. Even some content on the 360 is only available in the US. Is it really that hard to make features like this available to all?

ZED, it looks like it is US only at this point and from what I have read the CRTC won't allow Netflix to offer service to Canada. Jake I will keep my fingers crossed for the U.K.

Is Netflix only for a certain region, or for all?
Some of the features on the 360 are not available for Canada also.
