Co-op RPGs In The Future?
This article was written by: Kyle Knox
The co-founder of Bioware, a company which has gained fame in the gaming community for its excellent RPG development, had this to say when asked about cooperative play in future titles:
“Sure. We would consider it. We haven’t announced anything on that front yet, but those are interesting ideas…They could make a great gameplay experience. Whether we’ll do them or not remains to be decided.” — Ray Muzyka at 1up.com
Bioware is the company behind previous star titles such as Baldur’s Gate 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Mass Effect. They released Dragon Age: Origins this month which was very well received, and Mass Effect 2 is on the way, slated to be released early next year. Cooperative play will be featured in their upcoming MMO The Old Republic, based upon ideas they created in Knights.
I hope this gets implemented as I have been a huge fan of Bioware and have most of their RPGs, but it is always a bit of a bummer to sit and play through a large and sprawling game by yourself. The worlds they so expertly craft for us are a thing to be shared with friends, and hopefully that will be an option in the near future.

Yeah, I saw this. I wish more games had local co-op so that my hubby and I could both enjoy them. There are always a selected few but it still feels like something is missing
I’m on the same page as Anne, we play games together, but it’s usually one of us watching the other play.
