Special thanks to the awesome folks over at EA Black Box for hooking Platform Nation up with a brand spankin’ new copy of Need for Speed: SHIFT. We originally wanted to keep this PS3 copy to ourselves, but in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’ll be granting one lucky winner the game!
Just leave a comment below telling us what you’re thankful for this year. No, it doesn’t have to be Turkey/Tofurkey Day related, but bonus points to those who can make us laugh until we cry. Make sure to leave a valid email address so that we can contact you!
Before you go off in your mad dash of commenting, here’s guidelines to keep this somewhat organized:
- Must be a US resident. Sorry international folks, but shipping costs can get pretty pricey. (No worries though, we’ll hold plenty of contests open for all!)
- Please note that we’re giving away a PS3 copy of the game. EA Black Box was kind enough to give us a freebie, and beggars can’t be choosers.
- Giveaway ends Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 12 PM PT. Any entries submitted after this deadline will not be eligible.
- Winner will be contacted via email and will have 48 hours to respond back. Failure to do so will force our hand into selecting another winner. So please check your inbox, and make sure you have Platform Nation on the “not spam” list.

What to be thankful for…racing videogames so after eating turkey I don’t spew my gobbler and pies all over the place. That and food because fat kids do enjoy them some good eats. Lastly I am thankful for sporks because who dosent love weird things that have 2 uses

mostly thankful that my health has not gotten worse this year…it has been declining over tha last couple of years.
I’m thankful for my son, and especially my girl. With me being out of work, she has really pulled through for us. They are both incredible!!!
i’m thankful that my ps3 hasnt broken down after 2 straight months of playing it 8 hours everyday of those 2 months (a.k.a. summer vacation)

I’m thankful for my loving wife and family, my excelent friends, Unccharted 2 and hopefully for my great luck XD
I am thankful for a loving wife that doesn’t mind me playing video games
I am Thankful for my loving family. Without them I would be a miserable person.
I’m thankful my lovely wife is out of the hospital and got to spend Thanksgiving with me.
First and foremost I am thankful for the console, be it 360, PS3 or Wii. All year we fight about which one is better, but if you have any of them you are lucky.
The next thing I am thankful for is a good game! Yes a game with a good story, something that keeps you on the edge of your seat for days, be it single player or multiplayer.
Next is gamer friends and community. Gone are the days of playing by yourself in a dark room. Gaming is becoming more and more social, so I am thankful that there are communities such as Gathering of Gamers, Platform Nation and L.A.G. out there bringing us together!
Last but not least, I am glad that I am a gamer
I’m thankful for my wife and son & my launch 60gig PS3 that keeps on going without a glitch.
Im thankful for those little things at the end of your shoelaces or else i would of went through tons of money.
Also thankful for getting posion ivy not only did it cost me a hospital bill it reminded me i hate woods and need to stay inside more and play video games and it gave me a reason to take off

I thank the mini vacations that keep me sane. Trips to racetrack via nfs# or GT4. Anything to escape reality for awhile. But really thankful to the developers for adding the extra details. Oh and if Santa sees this i have been good regardless of what the wife says.. Long live the fighters…

im thankful that my girlfriends parents did not make me and my girlfriend break up when we were doing it in their room and they walked out of the bathroom with most awkward moment of silence while all for of use were naked.
