The wonder of ancient Greece will come to life on Jan. 18 2010, when Glory of Heracles launches exclusively for Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi. The game is the first in the popular Japanese Heracles series to launch in the United States. Nintendo hasn’t mentioned this RPG since it added Glory of Heracles to it’s E3 release list, but we’re finally getting the scoop!
The game is inspired by Greek mythology and written by Final Fantasy’s Kazushige Nojima . The role-playing game features an engrossing story and a powerful battle system. The story begins when Heracles washes up on a beach with amnesia. Players must journey far and wide to figure out Heracles’ story and unravel the mysterious pasts of the other main characters in this new adventure. Players can roam the countryside, encounter new characters and gain experience, or visit familiar ancient settings like Athens and Sparta. The plot is fictional, but many of the people and places in the game are based on Greek mythology. An extensive glossary provides more details about the places and characters that Heracles will encounter. Players will also be treated to animated cut scenes throughout the game.
