RAGE Finds A New Publisher

It was recently announced that ZeniMax Media, owner of Bethesda and id Software (acquired earlier in the year), acquired the publishing rights to the new id shooter, Rage.

Rage was built with the id Tech 5 engine and involves players traversing a post-apocalyptic wasteland (see Fallout 3 meets Borderlands) in search of survivors. Vehicular combat and racing will also be involved in Rage‘s plot.

Rage was originally to be published by Electronic Arts under the EA Partners label. Lucky for Bethesda Softworks, that duty is now theirs.

P.S. This video didn’t get the memo yet, so disregard the EA logo.

Information comes via Giant Bomb.

RAGE looks bloody amazing, but it looks SO MUCH like Fallout 3. However, I think RAGE will be more of a FPS than an RPG.
