Taken directly from Major Nelsons’ blog from earlier today, here are the top Xbox & Windows Live! games for 2009. The big question was whether Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would feature near the top or actually top the list. Despite being released in the last 2 months, the game broke all records when it was released but it was facing some very stiff competition, including its predecessor.
Before jumping straight into the lists here are a couple more things that I was curious to look out for:
- Modern Warfare verses Modern Warfare 2: Did the sequel leave itself enough time to topple the previous one?
- Left 4 Dead: With all the fuss made over the announcement of the sequel a year after the release of the original game, would Left4Dead2 make the top 20 list?
- Demos: Would we see any demos feature higher in the charts that their respective full games?
- Games for Windows: Just a general curiosity I have to see how Games for Windows is being received and which games are popular.
