I’ve just found out through Video Game Generation that select Target stores will be teaming up with Nintendo to offer a new type of experience to their shoppers. On weekends between January 16th-31st, the Target stores listed below will have kiosks set up in the parking lot or at the entrance of the store where shoppers can try out the new Wii Fit Plus. For testing the game out you will get a $15 Target Gift Card, which you can use to get your new game, or anything else!
“If you’re just embarking on your New Year’s resolutions (or have already abandoned them), the Wii Fit Plus Experience at Target stores will show you how you can have fun and stay active,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Wii Fit Plus has so many customizable options, it’s easy to stay motivated and energized all year long.”
“The Wii Fit Plus sampling events give our guests the opportunity to try out this popular fitness game before making a purchase,” said Mark Schindele, senior vice president, Target. “We strive to make sure our guests find everything they need to work, live and play all in one convenient and simplified shopping experience.”
The following Target stores are scheduled to participate in the Wii Fit Plus Experience:
Jan. 16-17
2705 Teller Road
Thousand Oaks, CA 91320
3201 Preston Rd
Frisco, TX 75034
1525 Market Place Blvd.

1800 W. Empire Ave.
Burbank, CA 91504
2200 Dallas Parkway
Plano, TX 75093
15005 SW 88th St.
Miami, FL 33196
Jan. 30-31
24425 Magic Mountain Parkway
Valencia, CA 91355
25901 Highway 290
Cypress, TX 77429
100 Perimeter Center Place
Atlanta, GA 30346
This should be quite a fun and interesting experience. Not only will you get a Target gift card, but if you’ve been wanting to try out the Wii Fit Plus without purchasing it, and you live near one of these locations, this would be the perfect opportunity for you! Hopefully a good turn out will get more Target locations to try this out as well!
