“Hell Awaits” During “The Big Game



For those of you who watched “The Big Game” you might have caught what seems to be the ONLY video game commercial this year. If you missed it, check out the Dante’s Inferno commercial here.

Personally, I thought that it was great that they used “Ain’t no Sunshine” by Bill Withers as a background song. It made the whole “Jumping into Hell after the love of your life” seem like a good idea and totally worth doing.

I also noticed EA did bend to the pressure take the advice of the network by changing the ending of the commercial. The original ad which ran online earlier this week told viewers to “go to hell”. Now, they are telling viewers that “hell awaits” which I think is a classier route in the end.

You WILL do the commercial OUR way...

Now, If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be coming up with a great reason NOT to be at work this Tuesday when fans the world over will see what exactly “awaits” them in hell.

    I almost miss the old Dante’s Inferno team… I liked that they were willing to take risks with their commercials.

    game looks awesome! the song definitely makes the commercial :)
