Announcing Crasher, A Brand New Crashing Game

A brand new development studio going by the name of Punchers Impact have announced Crasher, a brand new game that will see you crashing your car against other players.

Of course, there is a lot more to it than that. There are ‘Stars’ that are unique vehicles engaged in team combats or ‘TvsT’ (Team vs Team), with a strong RPG aspect.

One of the vehicles to be featured in Crasher. Looks mean.

The game will require you to work as a team- each vehicle will have its own area of expertise and skills, so if you are able to work well in a team then you’ll surely be able to bash your way into first place.

Other game modes include last man standing and death match which are both fairly self explanatory. There is also the Garage mode, which will allow you to unlock new ‘Stars’ and new achievements in order to enhance equipment and customize your vehicle to the fullest.

A motorbike? In Crashers? Looks like it.

“It is very important for us to be involved at the heart of our industry by offering gamers the games they expect,” explains Thierry Bensoussan, Managing Director of Punchers Impact. “By building a pool of creative talent within a single studio, we’re ensuring that Punchers Impact has solid financial foundations allowing it to focus on developing innovative projects. Mission accomplished: Punchers Impact already has around forty talented employees who have worked for the biggest French and English speaking studios from Free Radical to EA.”

Crashers is due in late 2010 and will be sold digitally to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms. The original press release is below if you would like to read that also.

Very lush environment here. Hopefully all of the game will look this good!

Announces CRASHER.

Punchers Impact, the new video game development studio, today announces the release of their brand new game Crasher.

Officially opening its doors in October 2009, Punchers Impact is responding to the group’s desire to open up new development channels. The studio is focusing on creating original downloadable games for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC platforms.

The game requires team play: each team has its tactics and each vehicle has its arsenal (heavy itemization) and skills (spell) in order to head straight for victory.

A “LEAGUE” mode where the players overtake areas and destroy bases (ladder rankings), various arcade modes, last man standing, death match, etc, are also featured. Finally there is the Garage mode, which allows players to unlock new “Stars” and new achievements in order to enhance equipment and customize his/her vehicle to the fullest.
