It wasn’t too long ago when Infinity Ward teased us about the upcoming Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2. Well now thanks to an early listing on Xbox.com Marketplace all the names of the new and 2 old fan favourites have been detailed. There is still no mention of what the price will be, just some info that there will be 5 maps, two of which are fan favourites from Call of Duty 4;
Stimulus Package DLC Contents;
- Bailout: A multi-level apartment complex
- Storm: An open industrial park littered with heavy machinery
- Salvage: A snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars.
- Crash: A war-torn urban environment
- Overgrown: Which features a massive dry creek bed.
Sounds like an interesting mix of maps Infinity Ward has come up with, now lets hope the new ones are camper free. I am glad that Crash & Overgrown are returning to MW2, Crash was my favourite map in Call of Duty 4 so I would like to play it in MW2 ASAP. I know MW2 has been plagued by controversy over all the hacks and glitches, but underneath all that its a pretty good game. I’m looking forward to trying these maps out, what about you guys?
*UPDATE*
Thanks to some nice readers and to myself for listening to Major Nelson’s latest podcast because the prices have finally been revealed for the Stimulus Package DLC. During the interview with FourZeroTwo or Robert Bowling, he announced that the price will be 1200MS Points. So $15 for 5 maps seems kinda pricey if you ask me but I’m sure the hardcore MW2 fans won’t be put off by this price.
