Videogame BAFTA’s- The Results!

The results are in, and if you didn’t watch it live then I’m going to have to fill you in on the results- there were a lot of categories and the most coveted one of all- the Best Game of 2009- was won by…look below:

Best Family and Social Game: Wii Sports Resort
Best Online Game: FIFA 10
Best Audio Game: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Best Handheld Game: LittleBigPlanet
Best GAME games:
1st: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
2nd: Assassin’s Creed 2
3rd: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Best Strategy Game: Empire: Total War
Best Original Score: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Best Multiplayer Game: Left 4 Dead 2
Best Gameplay: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Best Sport Game: FIFA 10
Best Story: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
BAFTA Ones to Watch Award in Association with Dare To Be Digital: The Butterflyers: SHRuNK
Best Artistic Achievement: Flower
Best Game of 2009: Batman: Arkham Asylum

I was sort of expecting the Best Game to be Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and, admittedly, I was a tad disappointed when Batman was announced the winner, but at least Modern Warfare 2 didn’t win…

I’d also like to note that the GAME award was based on public voting, so really it’s no surprise that Modern Warfare 2 won that to be honest.
