Live-Action Film Prequel to Alan Wake

“Bright Falls” is the six-part live-action series, set as a prequel to Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming title, Alan Wake, airing exclusively in the UK on April 30, 2010 on Xbox LIVE and May 4, 2010 at BrightFalls.com. New episodes will then be released on May 8 and May 14, with the final two episodes set to air on May 18 — coinciding with the North American release date.

Directed by Philip Van, whose short films garnered dozens of awards in festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, “Bright Falls” was shot on location in Oregon. Cast includes notable actors such as Tom Noonan, who recently appeared on FX’s “Damages,” and Cooper Huckabee, who joins the cast of HBO’s “True Blood” this season.

If this mini series isn’t enough for impatient fans, you can secure your Bright Falls Bonus Pack by pre-ordering the game now from participating retailers. The pack includes Avatar gear like the “I Am Awake” T-shirt and an Xbox LIVE “Bright Falls” theme based on the title. If Limited Collector’s Editions are your weakness, there is the ultimate Alan Wake collection designed to resemble a hardcover novel and packed with special bonus content.

“Bright Falls” airs exclusively in the UK on April 30, 2010 on Xbox LIVE and May 4, 2010 at BrightFalls.com. Alan Wake is set to release exclusively on the Xbox 360 on May 18, 2010 in North America and May 14, 2010 in Europe.
